Grand Egyptian Museum

The Grand Egyptian Museum is the first stop on a 2026 Giza day, not a souvenir mall next to the pyramids. One ticket covers the Tutankhamun galleries, the main galleries, the Grand Hall and Stairs, Khufu's Boats Museum, the commercial area, and the gardens. The boats used to sit in a shed on the plateau. Book only at tickets.gem.eg. The museum is not responsible for other platforms. grandegyptianmuseum.org is a volunteer archive. Hours on the ticket site: Complex 08:30–19:00 and galleries 09:00–18:00 on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Saturday and Wednesday the complex runs to 22:00 and galleries to 21:00. Last entry is one hour before galleries close. Ticket types: Egyptian, Arab or Other Nationality, Expatriate. Egyptian adult 200 EGP, child/student/senior 100 EGP (Apr 2026, ministry press). Foreign adult prices track the dollar. Confirm the live number on the form. Under six and visitors with disabilities enter free (guided-tour difference still payable). Tickets are timed, non-refundable, single entry. No flash, tripods, selfie sticks, or live streaming. This is an attraction.
