Shakira, who will perform at the Great Pyramids of Giza on 28 November 2026

Shakira is booked for a one-night concert at the Great Pyramids of Giza on 28 November 2026, her first performance in Egypt in nearly 19 years. The show is presented by Egyptian promoter Venture Lifestyle and sits inside her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour, the same run she postponed across the Middle East this spring after the 2026 Iran war forced schedule changes. Tickets are on sale now through Venture Lifestyle's TicketEgypt platform, and the date locks the Pyramids in as a serious global concert stage for the second half of the year.

The return is pointed. Shakira last played the Pyramids in 2007 during her Oral Fixation tour, drawing what Complex MENA reported as roughly 100,000 attendees in a single night, a record for an Egyptian concert at the time. The November booking puts her back on the same landmark for a one-night stand, not a festival run. In a statement released with the announcement she said: "I'm very happy to be performing in Egypt, at the Pyramids of Giza. I love you all."

How the date landed on 28 November

The original plan put Shakira at the Pyramids on 7 April 2026 as the fifth stop of the Middle East leg, alongside shows in Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The regional leg was postponed at the end of February when the Iran conflict broke out, and the calendar has since been rebuilt piece by piece. The Egypt date moved to 28 November. A Qatar stop is now set for 18 November at the 974 Stadium in Doha, her first show there. The Abu Dhabi Offlimits Music Festival, organised by Theory Eleven, shifted from 4 April to 21 November. The Jordan date remains indefinitely postponed, and the Saudi Arabia appearance, tied to the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix post-race series, was dropped entirely after both that race and the Bahrain Grand Prix were cancelled in April.

Before she reaches Giza, Shakira has a busy few months. She is scheduled to perform at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show on 19 July at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey alongside Madonna, BTS, and Justin Bieber, the 11-minute set curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin. She also opened the tournament itself in Mexico City's Azteca Stadium with Burna Boy and J Balvin, performing "Dai Dai", the official World Cup anthem and her third after "Waka Waka" (2010) and "Dare (La La La)" (2014). A Madrid residency at a purpose-built 50,000-capacity Shakira Stadium follows across late September and early October.

Who Venture Lifestyle is, and why Giza gets the show

The Great Pyramids of Giza, the concert venue for Shakira's November 2026 show

Venture Lifestyle is the Egyptian entertainment company behind most of the high-profile international concerts that have landed at the Pyramids in recent years. Its track record includes Katy Perry, John Legend, and Demi Lovato in the Middle East, and its electronic music arm, P+US, is the force behind the Starlight Festival at the Pyramids in October 2026 with EXIT Festival. The Shakira booking fits the same playbook: a single global name, one night, a venue that doubles as marketing.

The Pyramids of Giza are the only surviving wonder of the ancient world, and Egypt has increasingly leased the site for one-night international concerts that would be impossible to stage elsewhere in the region. For Giza residents and inbound visitors planning around the date, the practical reality is that the plateau's Sphinx and Great Pyramid entrances on Pyramids Road serve the concert site, with taxi or organised tour shuttle the realistic transit option. The planned Cairo Metro Line 3 extension toward the Giza area is not yet operational for this event.

For the show itself, expect a single stage against the pyramid backdrop, with doors and set times to be confirmed closer to the date. Venture Lifestyle's statement framed it plainly: "The November performance will put one of pop's most recognisable figures amongst some of humanity's most enduring landmarks." Past Pyramids concerts in this promoter's hands have skewed toward dusk-into-night productions, which is worth noting for anyone booking photography or arranging transport back into central Cairo after the set.
